Sweet torture

I’m already on track with running (yes, it’s been less than a day, give me a chance, it’s lasted longer than some diets and men I have tried), and by 12.06 on Sunday 12th December I’ve completed a 5k with my new running buddy…who happens to be my ex boyfriend.

Now, some might not think that’s a good idea, others might think it’s a brilliant way to dish out some sweet torture, but either way, it’s where I am at.

Let’s not over analyse it or over think it.

I ended it with him because I wanted my own space, I wanted to live my own life. Then while pondering life over a glass of vino in a pub after splitting up with him in the morning, I got chatting to a guy…

We were together for a couple of weeks (me and the new guy-I know, it’s getting confusing), and now it’s over. Again my choice.

See, it’s weird, I want a relationship but then when I’m in one, I don’t.

Confusing?

You should be in my head.

So, back to my running buddy/ex, the reason is partly selfish…so I can finally complete a running leader course I started, well I don’t even know, a long time ago and also, who doesn’t like seeing a face of pain on an ex?!

Oh and I’ve deleted Tinder (round of applause please), then I got so worried I am going to be single forever, I went for another 5k run.

It worked a treat, I’m now too knackered to worry about being a spinster and have spent the rest of the evening watching Love after Lock up.

Judging by that programme things could be worse, and if I do consider making a prison pen pal, please can someone politely tell me it’s probably not a good idea.

Though, I did come pretty close to that scenario with the last one (The one from the pub).

I’m so lucky, just attract all of these colourful characters. I date them so you don’t have to!

I will advise Simple Simon is better than Dodgy Dave, but it is less exciting.

So, continuing with the theme of avoiding men and running, (1 out of 2 ain’t bad), my next running focus is running bingo, and it’s as exciting as it sounds…

I’ll leave you on tenterhooks with that one.

Night night,

Rebecca Rabbit
